Road to Bologna

After the wine tour yesterday and some rest, we had a nice dinner on the canal in Treviso and then walked around more of the city.  It is a beautiful city and photos don’t do it justice.

Today we took off for Bologna.  Our first stop on the way was Padua (Padova).  We toured part of the university where Galileo and Copernicus studied among many notable scholars. We saw the oldest anatomy hall and one of the oldest med school buildings.

After Padua we drove to Ferrara.  It was rainy so we saw the castle and church and had a gelato - a short stay.

After Ferrara, we drove to Bologna and checked into our airBNb.  Tomorrow a Parmesan tour and balsamic tasting.
