We arrived early in Munich after what felt like a relatively short flight. I remember feeling uncomfortable for several hours, but by the time we arrived that was a distant memory. We took the train to the city center and walked to our hotel. After checking in we walked to a nearby bierhalle and had dinner of sausages and potatoes and beer. Everyone there spoke mostly German, so we seemed a bit out of place. After dinner we walked around the Christmas market area - Andy had a gluhwein (hot spiced wine) and I had some lebkuchen ( reminding me of the lebkuchen that my great aunt Beda used to make). It was more fun and festive because it was snowing!! Looking forward to exploring Munich tomorrow.
